This is the lake to end all lakes. At more than 1000 hectares it is one of the largest in Europe and would probably be better classified as an inland sea! It has a nature reserve, large island with a centre for contemporary art designed by Italian architect Aldo Rossi, boat trips from three locations with on board restaurants, numerous pretty villages scattered around it, and 300 km of waymarked trails. With sandy beaches - every imaginable watersport and activity is catered for, and there is also entertainment and various attractions for all ages throughout the summer months.
