This is an enormous lake which together with the islands has an area of around 330 hectares. Here you can indulge in just about every type of watersports activity imaginable. The lake is located in the Haute Vienne around 40 minutes drive from Les Hirondelles cottages. There are lots of sandy beaches and grassy shaded areas, cafe's, horse and pony trekking - the list goes on. Apart from all the normal watersports activities below there is kayaking and canoeing on the lake and adjoining rivers. There are 45 km. of walks around various parts of the lake.

This is a very popular lake which does get very busy during the peak season of August, however it sheer size ensures that you will always be able to find a quiet spot somewhere
