On the outskirts of the charming village of Chatelus le Marcheix, this lake has been created by a dam on the river Thaurion. There is bathing, kayaking and pedalos and good fishing to be had further up the river. Sandy beaches as usual and a fantastic firework display on the 14th July each year. Small cafe open during the high season, however you could always trek up to the village for lunch at one of the cafes or restaurants.
